Volunteer Code of Conduct

I agree to:

• Respect the privacy of artists and personnel of Opera San José.
• Conduct myself consistent with an environment free from harassment and report any potential violations that come to my attention.
• Sign confidentiality and photo release forms.
• If serving in public, represent Opera San José in a positive and professional manner.
• Be reliable and give timely notice if I am unable to report as scheduled.
• Be punctual and prepared. Strive to carry out my assignment effectively and efficiently, and to maintain the standards set by Opera San José.

I will not:

• Go backstage, on-stage, or into dressing rooms unless I am authorized.
• Request autographs, use sound equipment or take photographs.
• Bring guests or children to the assignment.
• Contact artists directly unless required by assigned duties.
• Disclose confidential Information.

Volunteer Liability Waiver

By submitting this form, members named above understand and agree that members of FoOSJ performing volunteer activities for OSJ, whether at OSJ sites or elsewhere, have accepted liability for any injury or loss/damage to property which may occur.  Volunteers shall not hold OSJ liable for injury or property loss/damage.  Additionally, volunteers are not covered by OSJ’s workers compensation insurance.
